Biography
Mr. O’Regan is a Civil / Structural Forensic Engineer with over eight years of experience in civil and structural engineering design and construction, with a specialized focus on forensic investigations over the past five years. He brings a diverse background in both heavy civil construction and residential/commercial building systems.
Mr. O’Regan has conducted over 150 forensic investigations throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Maine, and Vermont, in addition to catastrophe (CAT) response assignments. His forensic work includes evaluation of structural framing systems, roof systems, building envelopes, and foundations. He regularly provides structural condition assessments, determines cause and origin of failures, and develops code-compliant repair and design recommendations for both residential and commercial applications.
In addition to his forensic practice, Mr. O’Regan has led a construction loss control program, performed plan reviews and conducted quality control site visits at construction projects across the United States. His work has included geotechnical report evaluations and on-site quality assurance inspections for high-rise and multi-family developments.
Earlier in his career, Mr. O’Regan served as a project engineer for a marine heavy civil general contractor, where he contributed to two high-profile marine infrastructure projects. His broad technical experience and practical construction background inform a comprehensive, detail-oriented approach to civil / structural forensic consulting.
